In Georgetown, Guyana, Muscle and his mother Mary each struggle to break free of something, bringing them into conflict with each other. Mary (74) wanders on the road, begs for money to get drunk, and sometimes falls down and hurts herself, so her son Muscle (43) decides that the only way to prevent her from hurting herself is to keep her locked up in her small, dark room.
