The murder of Madorilyn Crawford, a famous transsexual, is the starting point for the snowball effect that drags Attorney Guillermo Cardona through an investigation that will take him to an impenetrable web of power. This research entangles situations where love, treason and hypocrisy are part of the deepest motivations of a society drunk on power. In 'Natural Selection' to adapt means to sacrifice oneself. Guillermo wants to resolve the murder; while doing it, he finds the connection between the institution he works for and the corrupt politicians linked to the crime. The murder is the starting point for each character to take us through the facing of their own prejudices and the inevitable treason in which they get involved to survive in a hostile world where politics and crime are tightly related.

The case gets the trans community to act and help in the investigation of the murder from Madorilyn's inner social circle, pointing Greta Lorens the main suspect; she is Madorilyn's successor in the Drag Scene, the suspicions arise as Greta's popularity grows with her show. Other fights in the political ground entangle, Antonia and Alejandro plot against each other aiming to discredit their opponent. On one hand, Antonia gathers all the evidence to expose a corrupted web inside the judicial branch of the government, following every step within each institution, at the same time she leads a fight for LGBTI adoption, mixing her personal interest to become a mother, which she can not fulfill because of her age and her partner's infertility. She gets threatened in several ways, but she resists; her delusion of grandeur weakens her relationship with Silvia who is constantly pushed by the presence of the media.
