Extraordinarily Ordinary revisits small town America circa 1960 through the eyes and stories of one extraordinarily ordinary mid-western family. As this straight forward film unfolds, so do the concepts of family values, integrity, and a way of life that is quickly vanishing.

The earliest movies were divided between exotic faraway places and cinema's ground zero, the family film in the domestic space. This documentary turns from commerce and industry to consider the intensity, trouble and tenderness of the first and best kind of film: the home movie.

The film tells the story of the Memorial Carillon tower at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and the dedicated carillonneur, Lyle Anderson, who has been the principal player and caretaker for the past 25 years. Anderson tells the story in his own words with humor and compassion.

The video letters from 3 girls on the Pine Ridge Reservation, to their father, who has been in prison for the past 10 years. This is the first time they've seen each other in years, and the result is riveting.

Ancient and varied are the Indian peoples traditions and beliefs. Through scripture, narration and interviews with our guides, this documentary's purpose is to help the church in America see the Indian peoples search for the truth, from a perspective of grace and compassion.
