Sophomore cutie Tenma is completely crushed out on classmate Karasuma and she just might explode if they don't end up in the same homeroom. Meanwhile - Tough guy Harima discovers that not only is he not in the same class as the object of his affections - the aforementioned Tenma - but he's not even in the same grade!?! Wait, there's more? While both of the foregoing fiends may be busy hatching elaborate plans in pursuit of romance, let's just say a soliloquy's not worth much when not followed by a signature. And while it takes two to tango, three's company (or most decidedly not) on a bicycle built for one?!?

Wakaranai tesuto! Derarenai toire! Arienai shintai kensa!

If you're still waiting for the rumble, well then you just about rival Tenma in the brains department! What does happen, or rather doesn't? Why can't any of these people sign a single thing?!? Harima does his best to save Tenma's grade point average when she forgets to claim her name on a test, but will his own GPA suffer as he ends up looking the idiot? Or is that his reputation's dying gasp? And it looks like Tenma's gonna be sitting this episode out? In the can? Oh, that makes perfect sense! Maybe she's busy dropping some stats for the up-and-coming physicals? It's time to play doctor! Wait, that's not what I meant!?!

Mitsumete suketchi! Neratte yabun! Oshiete pajyama pâtî!

It's the third episode and you know what that means? Time for a bank robbery! Seriously?!? Almost? But first, Art Class brightens things up a bit as the students pair off to sketch each other's portraits. And of course, Tenma ends up with Karasuma? Like, duh! Perhaps inspired - perhaps desperate and just a tad unbalanced - the luckless lass decides to play cupid, winging words of love on arrows swift and sure? Wait a second, are those real arrows? Poor guy, never had a chance? Well that didn't work, so Tenma's turning to the ladies for some sisterly advice. But does anyone have a clue why Harima's in a dress?!?

Buta wa bûbû! Neko ha nyânyâ! Kaerumo kappamo gâgâgâ!

It's field trip time and the question on everyone's mind: "Who will I get to sit next to on the bus?" The obvious dilemma? Tenma wants nothing more than to sit in bliss next to Karasuma, while Harima plans on planting his butt firmly next to Tenma's. The fearsome school bully's even brushed up on some small talk!?! Speaking of questions? No, wait! Speaking of minds, little sister Yakumo's discovered she can read them! Not much of a feat, current company considered? And yet, she still has no clue as to how seriously hot she is! Not to worry, the rain will cool things down? Wait, what's with that rain slicker?!?

Harima's getting all hot and bothered, though it has more to do with what he's eating than anything else! Maybe "cause his face is already red" Whatever the reason, the bully's bullied into ?fessing up the back story of his quest for Tenma!?! Let's just say there's some turkey carving involved and leave it at that? Meanwhile, little sis' has been busy being haplessly courted by Hanai. Tucking in for some tea, Yakumo and the girls are set to have some not-so-innocent taste test fun! And please be rest assured that the students in this show are not any good at all with the team sport concept? Wait, is that even in the playbook?!?

Let's get ready to rumble! No wait... Well, that's actually pretty accurate. Tenma's gonna have to fight for survival after she locks herself into the sports equipment room!?! Yeah, you heard right? Survival! This is Tenma we're talking about! And Harima's been up to his usual antics - a.k.a. fist fights - but this latest knock out may just knock lose some interesting info? Determined to come clean at last and just tell Tenma how he truly feels, nothing short of getting hit by a truck is gonna stop this tough guy. So naturally - But hey, if you don't know what's coming next you haven't been watching this show!?!

In his never-ending quest to impress Yakumo, Hanai volunteers his class to clean the school's swimming facility? Yeah, that's gonna go over real well! When an annoyed Harima chucks a bar of soap, things become quite lively and their brooms are put to far different purpose? An impromptu hockey match in the pool!?! Who authorized this? Speaking of scoring - it's freakin' implied - funny-pants Fuyuki's keeping busy snappin' some action shots from the sidelines! But he'd better be quick on the draw, because it looks like Harima and Hanai plan on puttin' the profit-seeking perv out of business? Is this stuff even legal?!?

Inspired by her friend Eri, Tenma dawns on the idea that the fastest way to a guy's heart might be through his stomach - And if that guy's Karasuma, then you know we're talkin' curry! But wait, curry's Harima's favorite dish?!? And since we're on the subject, what's with these two dudes chummin' it up? The bruiser must be going soft, what with all the Tenma-this and Tenma-that talk! Back on topic - Curry! As lunches get all mixed up and messages follow suit, what are the odds that the well-fed couple finally find true love? Wait - Which couple are we talking about? Oh no! This doesn't look at all appetizing!?!

Heart-broken Harima has set aside his butt-kicking in favor of the ancient arts - The ancient art of comic books?!? Even so, in all the morose moseying he has scored on something else? Something that truly does qualify as well-aged! Meanwhile, Tenma and her new lunch buddy are fast approaching sickeningly sweet. Mmm, love those salty balls? Yeah, I went there! But when her friends find out that little sis' has been playin' chef, Tenma's shamed into the kitchen herself. Love may be rumored as the most important ingredient, but when the cat would rather drown than test another taste? Is that a hint of blood?!?

It's time for some fun in the sun, but will Hanai lose his cool as he forgets first his breakfast, then his girl - Well technically he didn't forget her, she just forgot to come - Keeping on the same theme, Harima's lost his swim trunks just about the same time Eri's really wishin' she'd lost her sight - Ouch! Can you say awkward?!? And of course, none of the girls can swim! So when the guys agree to give them private lessons, Harima charts out how to get some time alone with Tenma - Too bad he sucks at all things math! More bathing suits lost, even possibly a pair of swimmers? I get the feeling we're forgetting something!?!

Beach fun - Take two! Imagine mastering "awkward situations" as an art form!?! As Tenma drags Harima aside to coach him on confessing his long-withheld love (for someone else) and her coaching gets confused for the real thing (not a stretch, considering who's involved) and she's just about to give up because he truly sucks (again, not a stretch), well then? My head really hurts! A bit of bed hoppin' in the night leads to? Hanai cuddlin' up with Harima! And just how many times can one guy lose his pants? As Hanai and Mikoto get distracted on a stroll down memory lane? How to distract Tenma from the summer heat?!?

But as Mikoto gets all worked up about the fight and about the long lost love returning home, Hanai takes it upon himself to defend her honor... And he's challenging Harima to a duel? What's more, Mikoto's old flame brought a girlfriend along... Oh boy, there's gonna be some fireworks!?!

When Harima gets stuck getting wood with the wrong sister, he decides to see if he can get at an even greater prize... Firewood and information! You pervs! But when Tenma hears the thug's moved on to her lil' sister - Big Sister Power Activate! A scavenger hunt and a surprise shower later... And another round of awkward nudity?!?

Tenma and gang's back from their camp out and it looks like hard-ball Harima's about to 'fess up - again - but wait... The giraffe is his?!? When Yakumo takes in a stray of her own, suddenly everyone's hot to keep Harima's herd out of the headlines... And they're putting on a rather odd act! Have no fear, dangerous animals don't dance... Or do they? As the first bell of a new school year prepares to ring - or rumble - it's reunion time... But Karasuma's got a mustache? And what exactly was Akira keepin' busy with over the break?!?

First off, Harima's taking this beard thing way too far! News on the school circuit is that there's gonna be an art exhibit? An art exhibit about The Female Nude in Form and Figure!?! Of course, it doesn't take long before the boys are all plotting and planning, especially when they learn who's volunteering! They may be only paintings, but hey, for these guys it's the next best thing? Too bad it's a study in cubism! And there's a mock wedding going down, but when the bride gets mixed up, there may be more grooms than needed. Harima's gonna run off with the wrong girl! Can't wish for anything better than this!?!

So Eri's showing off in class... And accidentally snips off Harima's beard!?! It's okay though, Tenma's tied a pretty pink bow in its place. He won't notice... Eri tries to apologize and tells him how much better he looks without it, Tenma agrees and - well duh! - the tough guy's back to shaving again! Harima sketches out this latest incident for his blooming comic career, but the editor advises him to have a friend take a look first. What friend? A delinquent doesn't have any friends... At least none that can read! Have no fear, it's Yakumo to the rescue! And there may be no rumble, but there's gonna be some wrestling!?!

Hanai's got it out for Harima and Harima's got it out for his look-alike. So when the three meet up in a questionable back alley, it's another triangle? One not of love but of hate!?! A mishap exposes just how far the tough guy took the clean shaven look, and now he's afraid to show his face in school. But Class 2-C is gonna need him, now more than ever? That Athletic Meet everyone's been training for, well now they're out for blood! And over cookies! But don't worry about the injuries, because Yagami High just got a new nurse? One so hot that the guys are goin' to painful lengths just to get a chance to visit her office!?!

It's the day of the Athletic Meet and excitement is running high - For all but Tenma, that is. You see, Karasuma hasn't been in any episodes as of late! Back to the sporting event, which isn't turning out to be very sporting at all!?! Classes 2-C and 2-D have turned this fun-filled day of activities into a very personal death match, centered around the feud between Karen and Lara. The final event: The traditional school cavalry contest! (Talk about triangles!) Seething rivalries are acted out upon the field of battle as the teams are knocked out, one by one. And in a surprise plot twist Eri will sacrifice herself to save Harima's pride!?!

So Eri's taken an interest in the school nurse? More specifically, what kind of relationship she has with Harima. Or should I say "Hario?" Is the little rich girl actually jealous?!? Maybe she should have had her injuries treated while she was there? Since the first race was undone by a pig, and the girl's relay by pride, the pressure's on the guys to pull it off. But what's this? What happened to those guys? They look like they've been hit in the side of the head with a two by four! Maybe the girls should stop cheering so much! Will Harima go the distance, even if it means losing his cool? And why is the pig named Napoleon?!?

So the rumors are flying and there's a bit of a rumble as Eri stays home to avoid the embarrassment. Harima takes to hiding as well - Are those two an item?!? Wait a minute, which two? Because now Eri's accusing Yakumo! Inspired by the love in the air, Tenma's invented a new kind of curry to spark a little romance of her own? Tuna curry? Even Yakumo's speachless! But that's not the only fishy thing going down, as Harima's joined a crew on the high seas. The bullies at school were nothing compared to the ones on this ship! Poor Harima, it's anything but smooth sailing as there looks to be a storm a'brewin' tonight!?!

Out on the open seas, Harima gets some sense knocked into him - And it's about damn time! But the land can be as cruel as the sea, crueler if you're in this series!?! Tenma calls to ask him out on a date, but it's for all the wrong reasons. You see, she needs help buying a birthday present for Karasuma. (Only because she can't cook!) Meanwhile, the deadline for the Comic Contest is drawing near, and Harima has kidnapped Yakumo to help him finish. But will the tough guy break down when little sister finally puts the pieces together? And a confession under the stars might finally explain everything about space case Karasuma?!?

Tenma has always thought that Karasuma was out of this world - But not quite so literally!?! Seems curry boy was sent to determine if this planet should be allowed to exist. Boy, are we screwed! Tenma arrives in time to hear two confessions of love, and it looks like Harima might get lucky after all - Wait, that's the comic ending! Real life: Harima wrecks on his way to submit his entry to the publisher, but Eri's there to save the day. Too bad the butler might get the credit! And a run in with a cat sends Harima to heaven and Tenma on a fool's errand? Or was that just a dream? Oh, and Karasuma's birthday was two days ago!?!
