Sadaf va Morvarid

The story takes place in a modern-day anonymous city, with nameless characters. The time of day is uncertain. It is set in a suburban milieu in empty tunnels and abandoned areas in remote parts of the city. The outskirts are austere. The protagonist lives here alone, in a housing development apartment building. He grew up in a Roma foster-home, and never knew his parents. Neither does he know anything about normalcy or the ways of the world. His aspirations vacillate between dormant aims and illusions. He has very few friends who would be able to understand anything about his idle existence. A deep desire to belong to someone burns within him, and is slowly taking shape, but this causes him problems. The person who looks after him offers him an unusual gift one day. He is given the dossier that includes his childhood files. These documents may give him hope to reconstruct that which was left unfinished in his childhood.

Nightlife in St. Pauli consists largely of fighting, prostitution, escaped prisoners, murder and mayhem.

Bartleby Kemp is a homeless drifter who spends his days conning a living on streets of Santa Lucia, a seaside resort town in California. To torture her ultra-conservative husband (the town's mayor), Judy Blackwell decides to take up Kemp on his "Will Work for Food" offer and hires him (and his sidekick Jack Cook) to clear some weeds on her property. Kemp and Cook reluctantly perform the work, but take the opportunity to case Judy's house and later return to rob it. The fallout from the break-in provokes a bitter political debate about the town's homeless, and tests the limits of Judy's marriage...and her compassion.

Vlad, a Russian businessman, who is going to participate in the elections for deputies, has got some problems with the articulation and he hires a speech therapist, Dasha - the poor girl of 25 years old who has moved to Moscow from a small town and now is searching for women's happiness in the capital of Russia. Dasha falls in love with Vlad almost at first sight finding him to be so polite, generous and educated and now she is making plans to win his heart, but the things are changed when Dasha finds out that Vlad is married for 15 years to a beautiful woman.
