Episode 1 • Sep 13, 1987

Star Sheriff Round Up

Saber Rider narrates the story of how he first met his new teammates Fireball and Colt. Saber traveled to Planet Yuma searching for an Outrider named Vanquo. While at a hotel trying to get a room, he meets Fireball, a race car driver who just won the Yuma Grand Prix. They also meet Colt, a bounty hunter, who is also looking for Vanquo. Colt finds Vanquo first and vaporizes him. Later an outpost is attacked. Saber, Fireball, and Colt are recruited by April to pilot the RAMROD unit against the Outriders' giant Renegade robot.

Cavalry Command

After the Star Sheriffs finish their latest mission, they think they are going to get some time off, but General Whitehawk summons them to Cavalry Command. While at Calvary Command, they meet the latest Star Sheriff trainees. April encounters a student named Jessie Blue while giving a martial arts demonstration. Jessie develops a crush on April. When the Outriders attack a convoy, Saber, April, Colt, and Fireball race to the rescue. Jessie also follows believing that he needs to protect April.

Jesse's Revenge

At a formal gathering, Jessie Blue makes a pass at April. She politely turns him down at first, but when he tries to force himself on her, she tosses him into a stack of barrels. General Whitehawk places Jessie on suspension, but Jessie quits instead. Jessie then joins up with Wolf and the Outriders. He leads them to Cavalry Command, where the Outriders steal their ships and explosives back. Jessie places a bomb aboard RAMROD. Jessie sees April getting on board, and tries to warn her. Saber Rider stops Jessie, and is about to take him into custody, when Jessie reveals what he's done. Now it is up to Saber to save April and Fireball, who is also aboard RAMROD.

Iguana Get to Know You

Colt traps an iguana and takes it for a pet. As he's showing it to the other Star Sheriffs, they get word that the settlement of New Dallas has come under attack by the Outriders. When they arrive, the Star Sheriffs find the outpost in ruins. The Outriders ambush the Star Sheriffs. Colt draws their fire so the others can escape. Later, Colt gets trapped in a cave by a new Renegade unit, and the iguana shows him the way out so that he can get back to RAMROD for the final battle.

Little Hombre

While exploring Planet Pecos, the Star Sheriffs run into a little boy named Miguel that Colt dubs "Little Hombre." Fireball takes the boy back to his father, who doesn't seem to be very appreciative. The Star Sheriffs find out that the Outriders have built a new Renegade Unit, and are planning an attack. They find out that Miguel's father used to be an associate of the Outriders. Miguel and his father are visited by Viperon, one of the Outrider leaders. Miguel's father had made a promise never to pick up a gun ever again, but when Viperon takes Miguel hostage, that promise is put to the test.

The Greatest Show on the New Frontier

While Saber Rider and Fireball are making a final inspection on a new outpost, a strange vehicle approaches. The Cavalry Command unit prepares to take action, but before they open fire, Fireball realizes that the mystery vehicle is that of a circus. Mr. Big Top, the ringmaster, introduces himself and invites them to the show. While patrolling along the river, Saber meets Lilah, one of the trapeze performers, and saves her from a scorpion attack. Lilah reveals that they are only performing one show at the outpost. When her partner, Damon, goes missing, Saber suspects Mr. Big Top may have a more sinister motive. Saber, Fireball, and Colt go undercover as part of the circus.

Little Pardner

The Star Sheriffs get a distress call from Planet Dakota, and go to investigate. They get ambushed by the Outriders shortly after their arrival. While pursuing one of the Outriders, Colt meets a young boy named Hoyt. Hoyt tells the Star Sheriffs about the Outriders taking over their town, and forcing the people to work as slaves in the silver mines. Hoyt leads Saber, Fireball, and Colt to the mine, where they encounter their latest villain, Gattler the Rattler. As the Star Sheriffs try to escape with the townspeople, they are cut off when Gattler unleashes the latest Renegade monster.

Episode 8 • Sep 22, 1987

Brawling Is My Calling

The Star Sheriffs are assigned to investigate a business tycoon named Maddox, who is believed to be working for the Outriders. Saber, Colt, and Fireball go undercover as a trio of drifters. They get into a fake bar fight, which catches the attention of Maddox's foreman. The foreman gets them hired with Maddox's operation. As they head back to their hotel, the foreman reveals that he is also an agent of Cavalry Command. Later that evening, someone takes a shot at Fireball through the window of the hotel room. The Star Sheriffs give chase, and find Maddox and his men waiting for them. He's also captured April and RAMROD.

Episode 9 • Sep 23, 1987

Wild Horses Couldn't Drag Me Away

When a herd of wild robot horses destroys a village, the Star Sheriffs are called upon for help. The Star Sheriffs meet Castor, a shaman, who plays a banjo to control the horses. What Castor doesn't know is that the Outriders have also found a way to control his horses, and have been using them in their attacks.

Episode 10 • Sep 24, 1987

The Castle of the Mountain Haze

After a series of volcanic eruptions, the Star Sheriffs head for the Castle of the Mountain Haze to warn its owner, the Baron, who is also known as the greatest sword fighter in the world. Prior to their arrival, Gattler the Rattler disguises himself, and tells the Baron that the Star Sheriffs just want to steal his land. The Baron argues with the Star Sheriffs and orders them to leave. After doing some research, April believes that the Outriders may be causing the eruptions. Saber goes back to challenge the Baron to a duel. As the duel progresses, the volcano erupts. Fireball, Colt, and April fly RAMROD toward the volcano, and come face to face with the Outriders' latest Renegade Unit.

Episode 11 • Sep 27, 1987

Oh Boy! Dinosaurs!

The Outriders, led by Brune Hilda and Mohawk, have invaded Planet Tropicus. Tropicus is home to dinosaurs. George, the park ranger, discovers the Outriders, and tries to warn the Star Sheriffs, but his signal is partially jammed. April gets part of the message, tells the guys what happened, and Saber decides they should head to Tropicus to find out what is going on. Meanwhile, George tries to escape with his family. Their jeep gets blown up by the Outriders. George's son, Ari, thinks that his parents have been killed. He and his pet dinosaur, Magenta, escape to safety, and run into Colt. The Star Sheriffs learn that the Outriders have been capturing the dinosaurs. Ari and Magenta volunteer to help with the mission.

Four Leaf Clover

An Outrider named Calibose steals the plans for RAMROD, and tries to get them to Nemesis. His ship is shot down, and he is taken into custody at Cavalry Command. As the Star Sheriffs are enjoying a rare off day, Saber meets a woman named Sincia, who runs an orphanage, and becomes immediately smitten. The Star Sheriffs decide to visit the kids and lift their spirits. Two of the kids are taken hostage by the Outriders. Sincia tries to save the children on her own, and April follows after her. They get ambushed and also taken as hostages. The Outriders give the Star Sheriffs an offer. They want to trade Calibose for the women and the children.

The Highlanders

While the Star Sheriffs are guarding a planet, Saber Rider receives a distress call from his parents. He decides to go to them alone. April follows after him thinking that he may need some back up. They arrive in the Highlands, but Saber's father said that it turned out to be minor. The Riders invite Saber and April to stay the night. During the evening, Saber notices his parents acting strangely. Saber finds his dog, Scottie, wandering around outside. When Saber's father comes out, Scottie growls at him. After Saber is attacked in his room, and April nearly has a chandelier fall on her. They confront his parents and discover that they are vapor beings in disguise. Saber learns that his real parents are being held captive by his old enemy, Vanquo.

What Did You Do on Your Summer Vacation?

April's father, Commander Eagle, is missing. The Star Sheriffs fly RAMROD into space searching for him. They come across his ship, the Peacekeeper. Colt and Fireball search the ship for any signs of life. They are captured by an Outrider named Orak. Orak sends Saber and April a message. He wants to trade the lives of Colt and Fireball for RAMROD.

Jesse Blue

The Outriders have placed April's father, Commander Eagle, in a gold casing. Nemesis enlists the help of Jessie Blue to transport Eagle to the Vapor Zone. The Star Sheriffs pick up Jessie's ship as he passes by. Colt follows him in the Bronco Buster. A fight ensues between Jessie and Colt, first in the air, and then on the ground. When the Outriders interrupt, Colt races back to RAMROD. RAMROD flies toward the Outrider base where Commander Eagle is being held, and faces off with the latest Renegade Unit.

Episode 16 • Oct 04, 1987

Show Down at Cimarron Pass

Nemesis summons Gattler the Rattler to the Vapor Zone. He orders Gattler to attack the Fort Apache outpost at Cimmaron Pass on Planet Yuma. The Star Sheriffs are playing a card game when they get a message from Commander Eagle that the Outriders are coming. The Star Sheriffs fend off the initial attack. Saber expects the Outriders to attack again at dawn, so Fireball volunteers to go out at night in the Red Fury Racer to scout them. The Outriders do attack again. Fireball tries to get back to RAMROD, but Gattler and the new Renegade unit are blocking his path.

The Saber and the Tomahawk

A cowboy rides into a town claiming to have been attacked by Kawshone Indians. The other cowboys ride out to search and find two Kawshone, Spotted Calf and Sleek Elk. Spotted Calf is arrested, while Sleek Elk escapes back to the tribe for reinforcements. The Chief calls Saber Rider, who was a childhood friend and blood brother of Sleek Elk. The Star Sheriffs arrive and try to prevent a range war. Colt and Fireball agree to guard Spotted Calf, while Saber and the Chief search for who was really behind the attack. While on duty, a smoke grenade is lobbed into the jail. Colt and Fireball wake up in the cell, and Spotted Calf is missing. Saber Rider has a tomahawk duel with Sleek Elk to try to prevent a range war. Meanwhile, April stumbles upon a barn that reveals who is really behind everything.

All That Glitters

A town has come down with a bad case of gold fever. It's so bad that they kicked their sheriff out of town, because they didn't want the law getting in their way. Saber Rider and April go undercover as prospectors. Saber gets appointed as the new town sheriff. Saber is disguised as an old man, and the appointment is meant as a joke. Colt and Fireball are supposed to stay with RAMROD, but Colt leaves to search for gold himself. After doing some snooping, Saber and April find out that Vanquo is up to his old tricks again. The gold turned out to all be fool's gold.

Episode 19 • Oct 07, 1987

Sole Survivor

The Star Sheriffs investigated the crash of a cargo ship. It was supposed to have no one on board, but they find a lady passenger, named Anna Belle injured. Colt takes an immediate liking to her. While recovering in the hospital, Anna Belle tells Colt that she was a computer expert and just wanted to see how the automated system worked. Now she's worried about getting fired. Meanwhile, the Outriders attack, and Saber, Fireball, and April face off with them in RAMROD. A new Renegade unit is unleashed, but without Colt there, they can't pull out the big guns. When Colt learns the truth about Anna Belle, he has to stop her, and get back to RAMROD in time to save the day.

Episode 20 • Oct 08, 1987

Legend of the Santa Fe Express

April's Uncle Wade has been working as a double agent and has obtained plans to an Outrider facility where they are building new Renegade units. Commander Eagle informs them that he is on the Santa Fe Express, and wants the Star Sheriffs to escort him safely back to Cavalry Command. The Outriders have found out that Wade double crossed them and attack the train. The train is traveling out of control, and heading towards a cliff. RAMROD manages to stop the train, but they discover that Wade has been shot. Wade gives April a locket that contains a microfilm of plans to the Outrider base, and tells her to seek out her cousin June.

Episode 21 • Oct 11, 1987

Snake Eyes

The Star Sheriffs are summoned to a military outpost where they meet a prisoner known only as Snake Eyes. Snake Eyes is a human being that has been working for the Outriders, who are vapor beings. Snake Eyes was captured, but made a deal by offering to show them where the Outriders' new weapon is hiding. Colt and Fireball escort Snake Eyes, but get ambushed. After fending off the Outriders, they start riding along and spy a tornado. They change directions to avoid it, but the tornado follows them. Later, Saber and April decide to check up on Colt and Fireball, and find signs of the ambush. They figure out that they better go looking for them, because they are in danger.

Episode 22 • Oct 12, 1987

Famous Last Words

The Star Sheriffs are dispatched to Planet Jar on a goodwill mission. They are there to offer their king an alliance with Calvary Command. When they arrive, they discover the planet under attack by the Outriders. The Star Sheriffs in RAMROD fight them off, but get accused of causing the attack. After a heated exchange with Fireball, Prince Roland takes the Star Sheriffs to see his father, King Jaray. The King places the Star Sheriffs under house arrest and confines them to RAMROD. April reports back to her father, Commander Eagle, and he tells them the story of why King Jaray doesn't trust Calvary Command. Meanwhile, Prince Roland leads another attack against the Outriders, but gets ambushed by a Renegade unit. King Jaray finally gives in and asks the Star Sheriffs to save his son.

Episode 23 • Oct 13, 1987

Sharpshooter

Prince Roland wants to prove that their kingdom is ready to challenge the Outriders. He issues an open challenge to a sharpshooting contest, which Colt accepts and wins. King Jaray shows the Star Sheriffs his new weapon, which he hopes will defeat the Outriders once and for all. He and Roland go searching for the Outriders and tell the Star Sheriffs they don't need any help from them. Meanwhile, RAMROD gets a distress call that New Dallas is under attack. The Star Sheriffs arrive, but find the settlement in ruins. Saber, Colt, and Fireball search for survivors, but get ambushed by the Outriders. They try to call April, who is still with RAMROD, but their signal is being jammed. April then comes under attack by Gattler and his fleet.

Episode 24 • Oct 14, 1987

The Monarch Supreme

King Jaray flies his new ship, the Monarch Supreme, into battle to save RAMROD from Gattler. However, Gattler's forces soon overpower the King's fleet, and he is forced to finally call upon the Star Sheriffs for help. Saber, Colt, and Fireball get back RAMROD and fly it to the rescue. After the battle, the guys are showering. Prince Roland tells them to put on their best clothes, because the king has summoned them. The Star Sheriffs walk into a dark room, and when the lights come on they find out the King is throwing a big Christmas party. During the party, King Jaray pulls Fireball aside, and tells him a story about his father.

Episode 25 • Oct 15, 1987

Gattler's Last Stand

Gattler contacts Nemesis to let him know that he's found a supply of alkalyte on Planet Alamo. Nemesis decides to join him for this mission. With the alkalyte, it is believed Nemesis could merge the Vapor Zone with the New Frontier, and everything would be under his control. Commander Eagle tells the Star Sheriffs about Gattler invading Planet Alamo, and they blast off immediately. Upon their arrival, RAMROD is confronted by three Renegade units. After defeating the giant monsters, Saber, Fireball, and Colt sneak into the alkalyte plant to stop Gattler's plan.

Episode 26 • Oct 18, 1987

Dooley

As Fireball and April are shopping in the city, someone takes a shot at them from a nearby rooftop. By the time they arrive, the sniper is reduced to vapor. Fireball finds a medal from a sharpshooting contest, and shows it to Saber and Colt. Colt recognizes it as belonging to his mentor, Tim Dooley. Dooley taught Colt how to shoot, and is the only man that could still outdraw him. Saber does some research, and finds out that Dooley used to be an agent for Cavalry Command. However, he was dismissed after being wrongly implicated in a crime. They were planning to pardon him. Saber hears an explosion, and sees Dooley running away from it. Colt refuses to believe Dooley is involved, and vows to bring him in and clear his name.

The Hole in the Wall Gang

The Yuma Dam is under attack by Outriders. Commander Eagle orders an immediate evacuation. Everybody obeys, except for the chief engineer who happens to be an old schoolmate of Fireball.

The All Galaxy Grand Prix

Saber Rider and the Star Sheriffs are at the All Galaxy Grand Prix to support Fireball who will compete in the race. His main rival is the famous racer, Marco Firenza. After the All GAlaxy Grand Prix, Firenza is supposed to retire. Another racing team by the name of the Black Hornets happen to be actually Outriders whose main goal is to attack the Cavalry Command Nerve Center located in Dome City.

Snow-Blind

The Star Sheriffs enjoy a ski vacation, unaware that are being stalked by an Outrider named Jean-Claude. Things become very complicated when Jean-Claude who holds a grudge against Colt, successfully kidnaps April and her friend Suzie.

Episode 30 • Oct 26, 1987

Tranquility

Colt saves a school teacher named Robin and falls hard for her. She takes him to see her hometown named Tranquility where violence and guns are forbidden. Colt hits it off with Robin's little brother when suddenly Tranquility is under attack by Outriders. Colt has to defend the whole town until the Star Sheriffs arrive to help.

Bad Day at Dry Gulch

A young researcher named Lily meets Saber Rider. After a romantic dinner together, they find out they have a lot in common. Saber Rider falls in love only to get his heart broken by Lily when it comes out that she is an Outrider.

Episode 32 • Nov 01, 1987

Snowcone

The Star Sheriffs pay a visit to planet Laramie where humans and Outriders live together in tolerance. However the Star Sheriffs are quite suspicious of such way of life and decide to investigate. They meet a blue-haired girl named Snowcone that takes a shine to Fireball. At first Snowcone willingly helps the Star Sheriffs but later betrays them. The worst thing comes when Fireball falls into the hands of Jesse Blue.

Sneaky Spies

The director of the Control Tower on planet Abileen, named Gerald Wyeth is kidnapped by Outriders and a spy with his looks is set to pose instead of him. The Star Sheriffs get very suspicious of Wyeth when he comes to visit his hospitalized sister and shows no emotions. Saber Rider and the others devise a plan how to capture Wyeth.

Stampede

Wildebeests are being hunted down by Outriders on planet Durango. The Star Sheriffs accept the mission to protect the herds. Saber Rider jumps into the Outrider's dimension and finally meets Nemesis.

Episode 35 • Nov 08, 1987

The Challenge, Part 1

The Star Sheriffs are in pursuit of an Outrider, named Razzle. Fireball gets surrounded by Outriders in Palamino Valley where shortly after he falls off a cliff with his car. When the Star Sheriffs rush him into a hospital, the rescued Fireball opens his eyes without any recollection of who he is and his entire life.

The Challenge, Part 2

In the hospital Fireball suffers from a terrible nightmare about his father. He is unable to remember anything about himself and now Fireball needs the Star Sheriffs' help more than ever. Saber Rider, April and Colt try to juggle Fireball's memory by reminding him of their successful missions together.

Born on the Bayou

The Star Sheriffs receive help from an old man who lives in the bayou of planet Yuma in recovering a steel blue box from a damaged Outrider ship.

Episode 38 • Nov 15, 1987

April Rides

The Star Sheriffs are lured to the remote planetoid called Granite Flats by Jesse Blue. Jesse uses a synthesized voice of the captured Commander Eagle for his plan. The Star Sheriffs suspect a trap but April who is terrified for her father's safety leaves them and sets out on a rescue mission on her own.

The Walls of Red Wing

The Star Sheriffs are assisted by a group of kids and an old lady to arrange an escape for Outrider prisoners from Red Wing Prison. The Star Sheriffs believe April's father, Commander Eagle is held there.

Episode 40 • Nov 17, 1987

Jesse's Girl

Trista, a young girl who has fallen in love with Jesse Blue does everything to assist him into building a facility in New Wichita. Following Jesse Blue's orders, the Outriders are enslaving the town's people, forcing them to build a new type of attack machine called a Range Ripper. April goes undercover and befriends Trista to get a closer look at the facility.
