The story of the famous actor, Culibrk, middle-aged, who before the last day of shooting heard that he's fatally ill. Having learned this, he decides to go on record, however, where it expects overall deal with the life that was marked by subordinating all personal career life. Two world's collide, of a father and a son as they move towards the bigger priorities of their lives. Madhusudhan, the head of Nirupama old age home, strives every day to spread happiness and cheer in a place that houses a deep sense of loss and rejection. A home inhabited by frail and old abandoned people, who have nowhere else to go and call Nirupama their home. Tapan, Madhusudhan's only son grew up training himself to survive the world alone. He blames Madhusudhan for being a father in absentia and also for his mother's death. The story takes us through an emotional roller-coaster of a father and son relationship in the backdrop of Kolkata- a city jostling between fading tradition and modernity taking over.

1964, a village in Galilee. The Mukhtar collaborates with Israeli military rule. Someone is forging work permits, and the Mukhtar's son and a steady metalsmith, Mahmud, want to marry the same woman. These story lines cross when the village teacher is arrested and jailed for the forgeries, with the Mukhtar's approval. Mahmoud discovers who the real forger is and goes to the Mukhtar, whose son assumes Mahmud has come to denounce him. He sets off to burn down Mahmoud's house; tragedy follows. At Mahmud's side through his troubles is Mabruq, the village fool who, like others, particularly a young woman named Jamilah, still suffers from witnessing horrors in the 1948 war.

Following their deaths, Father and Son are reunited in an arid and desolate non-place, regulated by abstract mathematical principles, where the dead face a dilemma: accept the dematerialization process or remain in indeterminacy forever.
