Connecting to John F. Kennedy
Host Faruq Tauheed takes half-siblings Michelle and Rob to Mexico City where they discover that they are related to the Uruchurtus, a very famous Mexican political family. Their journey includes a trip to the ornate National Palace where they learn that their second cousin Ernesto gave the keys to Mexico City to President John F. Kennedy. During the preparation for the annual cultural event The Day of the Dead, they learn their third cousin Manual Uruchurtu died on the Titanic, after giving up his seat on a lifeboat to a woman in need.

Connecting to Purple Heart
Host Faruq Tauheed takes the 80-year-old dancing Grandpa and Grandson Evan and Scott to Billings Montana. There they learn that Evan's great-grandfather was an integral part of the U.S. western states expansion of 1862 and had cultivated 160-acre farm. But closer to Evan's heart, he learns that two of his uncles, who he had met when he was a child, were POWs in WWII both receiving purple hearts. After they deeply connect, the two dance at a western hall.

Connecting to a Landmark Court Case
Host Faruq Tauheed takes Mom and Son duo Sharee and Davone to a trip to Nashville Tennessee, where they learn that their 4xs great grandfather Larkin Ford, was a part of an 1840s landmark Tennessee case. Larkin was awarded the farm that he worked on as a slave. After winning the property Larkin went on to be a delegate in the Republican Party and helped elect African-American officials into Tennessee government.

Faruq Tauheed, our host, takes Aunt and Nephew Tammy and Julian on a cosmopolitan adventure in Brooklyn, New York. Their journey begins when they learn that they are related to undertaker John Baisley, who helped the city bury its dead during the Yellow Fever epidemic in 1856. But that's not the only esteemed family member, the two learn that they have direct ties to James Howell who owned a large iron works company and was an integral part in building the Brooklyn Bridge.

Host Faruq Tauheed takes uncle and nephew Al and Jr on an ancestral trip to Havana, Cuba. Where Al learns that his grandfather, Joseph Barlow, owned and developed 34 blocks of downtown Havana, including the now-famous suburban neighborhood Buena Vista. But due to an unfortunate turn of fate, Joseph Barlow lost his riches in a political cue. As the two men connect over their own entrepreneurship, they learn where their family's resilience came from.

Host Faruq Tauheed takes father and daughter Paul and Kalina to the Civil War battleground Port Republic, Virginia, where they discover Paul's great grandfather Austin D. Springer was a drummer boy for the Union Army. At the battlefield, Paul and Kalina learn that Austin was taken prisoner by the Confederate Army but escaped and hid in slave huts until he made his way back to the Union Army. Paul, a Vietnam veteran, connects his own experience and believes that being a combat Vet is in his genes.

Host Faruq Tauheed takes sister and brother Ashley and Elliott back to their grandparents home town of Martha's Vineyard, Massachusetts. During their trip, they get a sailing lesson and learn that their 5-times great grandfather Henry Osborn was taken prisoner on a boat in the revolutionary war. Then they discover that their 3-times great-granddad Samuel Osborn went from debtor's prison to owning a fleet of Whaling Ships. A surprise visit from their parents, Ashley and Elliott, allows them to share their found history.

Host Faruq Tauheed takes us back to look at some of our most memorable moments. We take Rob and Michelle to Mexico where we learn that their Cousin Ernesto gave the keys to Mexico City to John F. Kennedy and that their Cousin Manual died on the Titanic. Then, we go to Cuba where uncle and nephew Jr. and Al bond while learning that Al's grandfather owned 32 blocks in downtown Havana. Finally, we go on an historical Tennessee adventure with mother and son Sharee and Devon as they learn that their ancestor, Larkin Ford, an African American man owned land in Tennessee before the Civil War.
