Having no option but to live on the fringe of her community because of her infertility, Hanan lingers between a dream that is slowly slipping away and her struggle to find a place where she belongs. While everything that surrounds her bustles with fertility and mortality, she wonders how to give meaning to the time that she has in between.

REVIVAL is a dance feature film based on the rare folk dances in India. It is the narrative of a street dancer trying to explore Indian folk dances by travelling to the remote and dangerous naxalite infected areas. The film is all about the transformation of a dancer by digging into folk dances of India thereby understanding the nuances and the true essence of dance itself. The film reflects the raw and rustic lives of the real folk dancers thereby bringing the true perspective on screen through the eyes of the street dancer. Shot over a span of two years in Andhra, Telangana and Odisha, this film is an out and out dance film and whether the street dancer manages to unearth these rare folk dances, learn them and eventually perform with them in such testing conditions without food and shelter forms the crux of the film.

Gathered in an artistic process, seven young dancers are ushered to a dive into their ancestral ties.

Cruz, a determined Raramuri indigenous man from Mexico, and his family were driven from their land by a drug cartel because they refused to grow opium poppies. They now live in exile and fear for their lives while desperately seeking justice and a safe return to their homeland.
