RetroTV

Summary RetroTV is a six-episode limited series dedicated to all things retro! The television show was first conceptualized as a way to talk about recent trends that arose from retro aesthetics, with the unaired pilot episode talking about analogue photography and how that trend has exploded in recent years. It was then picked up by Channel 31, and six new episodes were devised, the unaired pilot being redone to make up the first episode. Each episode looked to present an informative view upon the retro trends that are still seen today, with charismatic host Jake Saunders, with the help of equally charming Ayden A. Carter and mesmerizing Courtenay Crimeen, leading the charge. Each episode was composed of three segments, each devoted to a facet of the topic the episode is about, and an extra fourth segment (hosted either by Ayden or Courtenay) that is about a topic that doesn't have to be entirely related to the topic of the episode. The final episode of the series deviated from this ethos, with each segment covering a different topic within the retro world. The show officially went to air on the 8th of March, 2023, with the first episode premiering at 8:30pm on a Wednesday afternoon. Each episode then saw a rerun on Monday nights at 12:30am. The series concluded with the final rerun occurring on the 17th of April, 2023. In it's debut month, it came #22 with an average of 15,000 viewers, a massive achievement considering the low budget. The episodes can now be found on CTV+ - the streaming platform created by Channel 31 - and on YouTube. View more details
