Summary This is a story of an old black family of vampires living in Los Angeles under the radar. The vampires are Xavier Gains, sister Daniella Gains and wild card cousin, Barry Styles. The story revolves around these characters and the humans they are attracted to. As for Xavier, his love for a woman, Marisa Childs, led him to kidnap her from her husband, brainwash her and eventually initiate her into the fold.
