True Stories from Asia consists of two real life stories recorded in SE Asia. The first is about a young troubled women and her search for meaning in life and the 2ND is about a Buddhist monk who has a mysterious encounter that changes his life.

Naneh Lala is an elderly woman living in a house scheduled for demolition to make way for a new avenue. With all her children moved away and no phone in the house to contact them, she is in a seemingly impossible situation with no hope. What did the boys wish for that day? Twelve years ago, the three boys Haruhiko, Ryuta and Toru wished on a falling star from the same place. Now, they are all living separate lives. Ryuta is a driver for a Tokyo cabaret. Toru has quit his band and is working in a pub in his hometown. Haruhiko was working in a top-notch company, but went into debt and has now returned to his parents' home to borrow money.
