A well-off bachelor struggles with the decision of picking his perfect bride. While exploring a variety of options, he may have just overstepped his bounds.

Giorgi and Ana, in their late 30-s, once a loving couple is in the difficult process of separation, which goes quietly without attracting attention of others. Affect and shock seems to be passed, but getting used to new way of life lasts long and seems endless. Giorgi can't get used to it. The pain of being rejected from the beloved, closest person doesn't allow him to start new life. He isolates himself from the rest of the world, moves far, near the sea, settles in abandoned place surrounded with lonely people. Ana waits for all to pass, but the end turns to be unexpected for both of them, leaving Ana in guilt and vagueness.

Qi, a famous actress in Yueju opera, becomes very ill and comes back home to see her three children one last time. But her two sons don't care about this, and some past events gradually come to light.

A beautiful but self-conscious model (due to her own perceptions of being imperfect due to the multiple operations she's had since childhood) falls in love with a gay man who happens to be her doctor's lover. He falls for her and they must find if they can have a life together in the complexity of their relationship.

But he soon trades the Alsatian landscape for higher altitudes and more emotional territory: a reunion with his estranged wife Natalie and their son Noah in the Swiss Alps. Like his literary counterpart, the modern-day Lenz follows the Romantic motto: Genius writes its own rules. Against a background of kitsch global tourism - provided by the authentic Zermatt locations - Thomas Imbach's Lenz portrays an unconventional family and a man struggling between euphoria and desperation.
