Soccer players from Serbia play in many leagues around the world, which means that domestic clubs have huge profits from player transfers. Despite huge earnings from player transfers, the biggest Serbian clubs - Red Star and Partizan - are in financial collapse. In the second episode of the series Insider - The World Championship in Fraud, you will see why the biggest clubs, despite the huge earnings, are almost completely dependent on the privileges and sponsors provided by the government representatives.

The unbreakable bond between club board members, fan leaders, businesses and politicians is one of the reasons why the biggest clubs in Serbia still belong to everyone and no one, that is, why privatization of clubs is not possible. At the same time, the state should earn from the transfer of players from the two biggest clubs through taxation, but it does not because there is no control. Leaders of fan groups have an important role in the decisions made by management, and even when it comes to selling players.

The debts of the two biggest football clubs, Red Star and Partizan, due to long-term uncontrolled operations, are so large that the two clubs are on the verge of bankruptcy. All authorities have been treating these two clubs as institutions of national importance for decades. They, unlike all citizens of this country, are allowed not to pay for electricity, not to pay for water, to negotiate their tax obligations, which are measured in millions of euros, to break laws and do business in such a way that they are not accountable to anyone for anything. The situation has been like that for years because the clubs are everyone's and no one's.
