Episode 1 • Jan 10, 2000
La estela que en ti dejó el futuro
The cops Carlos and Lucía stop a car at night, but the vehicle escapes. A persecution starts and the policemen get support from a helicopter, however the criminals take out their guns and shooting at the cops they stop the car and shoot down the helicopter managing to escape. Added by they partner Mateo, Lucía and Carlos manage to rescue the helicopter passengers, but the pilot, Goyo is in critical condition. The criminals are identified as Los Guti, two brothers that have stolen various restaurants in the zone and all the force from the station are warned that they should look out for them. Some nights later Mateo and Carlos find the pair in a street, but once again the brothers manage to escape. In other story lines rookie cop Vera is assigned to patrol with Jaime who isn't happy of having to train the new girl, both policemen doesn't get along to well, and Vera feels humiliated by her partner who doesn't support her when she accidentally kills a convenience store robber. Cops Mateo and Rafa investigate the attack on a family that refuses to sell an apartment whose owners wish to have them out to sell the property. Inspector Ferrer and his parter El Ruso arrest a gun trafficker but fail to protect their informer. An unemployed man is forced to rob to feed his daughter. Paramedics Susana and Pedro save a drug addict's life who knows Pascual, a friend of policeman Rafa who is later arrested for robbing a house. Marina saves a clown that has been tied up by a group of children at a party. Mateo's pregnant daughter gives birth to a baby girl and Lucía's starts to consider if she wants to become a mother.

Junto a mí, sin cesar, se agita el demonio
A church priest approaches Ferrer and El Ruso asking for help to stop a a young couple that attacked its church with satanic symbols, at first they are unable to help but they get interested in the case as they learn the couple is part of a big and dangerous satanic cult. Quique, Lucía's boyfriend, comes back to Madrid to inform her he has accepted a job in Morocco which requires him to leave the country for two years, this information puts strain in their relationship. Susana attends new cop Lucas after he suffers a motorcycle accident, however a mistake regarding the dose in the medicament she gives him may have terrible consequences on Lucas career. As the police force is assigned to stop a band of blackmailers, Carlos is assigned to do a night surveillance with Marina, the two cops remember some missions from the past and during the night some attraction arises between them. Jaime and Vera find a kid that escaped his home, after returning him to his parents Jaime is worried about the possibility of the child suffering physical abuse from his father, however when the kid is found beaten doctor Gonzalo denies the possibility that the father is responsible while the dislike between the two characters continues. Sebas, the prison warden, is assigned to patrol alongside Mateo for a short while, until Rafa is able to return to active duty. After some time in prison Rafa and Pedro friend, Pascual, is granted a weekend pass, out of jail he learns his girlfriend has been cheating on him with another friend.
