Summary The first Petzl RocTrip took place in 2002, in France, near Millau. During the event, the strongest climbers were invited to test an extreme route, called "The Ultimate Route", a 9a that Chris Sharma chained. In 2005, the Petzl RocTrip stopped in Squamish, Canada when Chris Sharma made the first ascent of "Dreamcatcher" the 9a became iconic across the world. In 2011, more than 600 climbers gathered in the huge cave of Getu in China, where they took advantage of more than 200 new climbing lengths equipped for the occasion. Deeply rooted in the climbing community, the goal of the Petzl RocTrip is to bring people together around their passion: climbing. And this year, to make it possible without you having to travel to Greece, Petzl has created an online portal dedicated to this event, to take part in the pleasure of the Petzl RocTrip. The brand is also planning a novelty: Creative Onsight. For this project, Petzl athletes, photographers and videographers will team up to create exclusive Manikia content, and to top it off, you could contribute to the development of this marvelous climbing site.
