After long years of waiting, to the house of a forester, comes joy - his wife is expecting a baby. After a long and painful struggle with himself and unable to resist to the temptation of his desires, the forester kills a deer, thus making his moral choice, which destroys not only his dreams, but also the world in which he lives, and so passionately loves.
