Summary The life of Silvino Santos (1886-1970), a Portuguese man who fell in love with the Amazon River. At thirteen, Silvino crosses the Atlantic at the turn of the century in search of that fantastic Amazon imagined by Europeans. In 1913, he made his first feature-length documentary.
