We're talking about peaceful civilians who have no tools with which to oppose hate. As it is women that most effectively represent the defencelessness of civilians, they play the biggest role in the film. The movie is primarily about the emotional and physical shock that the victims of terror experience and how the memories of those experiences remain, especially if, over and over, the victim encounters a threat that has the same look and feel as the original one. This film is one woman's personal comment on the absurd fact that, 70 years after its apparent defeat, Nazism is present in our lives. I have chosen to stress its absurdity by the use of virtual rather than actual terrorist figures and settings. This is a mixed genre film, combining as it does documentary film features with those of video games, clips from documentary films of the period, contemporary photographs, and newly filmed scenes.
