Shinta and Zain were a sweet couple who loved each other. Zain had bought land by the beach, Shinta's favorite place and promised that one day he would build Shinta's dream house on that land. To prove his commitment, Zain ventured to propose to Shinta. Unfortunately, Shinta's parents, who objected and feared that their daughter would live a miserable life if she married Zain, turned him down. Zain was not offended, as he also felt that his income as a vegetable delivery driver was not enough to live with Shinta. Zain plans to go to Jakarta to improve his fate for the future. They were forced to separate. Shinta and Zain promised that in a year's time they would meet again in their land, where Zain proposed to Shinta, and they would be inseparable forever. A year passed, and Shinta waited for Zain's arrival at the place where they had promised to meet again. She kept waiting, even until the rain poured down on her. Eventually, she collapsed from exhaustion. Reno, Shinta's best friend, helped her and brought her home. Little did Shinta know, Zain was actually on his way home to keep his promise to Shinta. But on the way, he was stopped by a girl named Fiona who was running away from a moneylender. Fiona forces Zain to help her. Zain initially refused, but Fiona insisted. Seeing Zain who was good, Fiona immediately strategist to take advantage of him. She wanted to take Zain's property to pay her family's debts. Her plan worked because Zain finally brought Fiona to his village. Rumors then spread in their village that Zain had come from Jakarta with a woman. Shinta was shocked and couldn't believe the news. She immediately went to Zain's house. Shinta was shocked to see that Zain was really with the woman. She couldn't accept the fact and immediately left with Reno. Zain then chased Shinta and Reno on his motorcycle until he hit a truck and was thrown far away. Zain's soul was separated from his body. However, Zain was unconscious and was surprised to see Shinta and Reno crying for him, because he felt fine. Reno stayed and comforted her because Shinta felt such deep regret. But how surprised Reno was when he saw Zain's spirit near Shinta. Reno was able to see Zain's spirit. Zain, who was desperate, also knew that Reno could realize his existence. From Reno, Zain hopes that he can be the link between him and Shinta.
