Climate change is our defining crisis, and it is happening even faster than we thought. But we're not powerless to stop it. The impacts of climate change are felt in every corner of the world. Increased temperatures are causing environmental disasters. The sea levels are rising, the Arctic is melting, coral reefs are dying, oceans are acidifying, and forests are burning. The climate emergency is a race we are losing, but it is a race we can win.

Ana (Nora Aunor) is a mute woman living in a remote mountain area with her father Badong (Ray Ventura), who is sick and searching for a man to marry his daughter. He finds Michael (Albert Martinez), a man who expresses interest to wed Ana because of the land he could inherit from her father. In the absence of her traveling husband, Ana meets Mayang (Glydel Mercado) with whom she forms a great friendship. Then she discovers that Mayang is also married to Michael.

After her adoptive mother dies in a tragic accident, art therapist Wren Williams learns her birth mother died in a similar fashion and grows increasingly fearful that her father may have murdered both women to keep family secrets buried. Can she protect herself and her younger siblings while keeping her father close by as she searches for answers?

Based on novelist Muro Saisei's 1959 book, Bitter Honey narrates the story of a poet who informed by his physician of his impending death finds renewed flights of fantasy. He is visited by a thin and attractive girl in red who becomes a catalyst for romance. The girl has to vie with competition for the artist's attention, however, as other women work in the wings. Bitter Honey's story is coloured by gorgeous photography as it explores sex, love, life and immortality.
