While struggling through his performance as Mark Twain at the 1974 Miss Nude World Pageant, Trostle claimed that the spirit of Mark Twain actually took over both his body and his performance. He insisted that the spirit refused to leave, spurring Trostle's wife (played by actress Kathy Weldon) to call Richard Webb from television's BORDER PATROL for help.
