Not seen for decades, it was first broadcast on October 27, 1957, on the NBC News program "Look Here," hosted by Martin Agronsky. Then just 27, King had reached national prominence the year before during the Montgomery bus boycott. He offers Agronsky invaluable insights into his goals, his philosophy, and his unshakable dedication to equality and civil rights. In the decade that followed, King would become a controversial national leader, an icon, and finally a martyr. He is remembered today as one of the most revered figures in American history.
