Ek Hoti Rajkanya

Ek Hoti Rajkanya

Ek Hoti Rajkanya is a story of a young and vibrant village girl, who joins the police force as a constable on compassionate grounds after her father's death. 20 years old Avani Jairam Bhosale originally hails from a small village in Shegaon, Buldana. Avani was a medical student and she, along with her parents have nurtured the dream of her becoming a doctor since her childhood. Unfortunately, she could not continue her medical studies as her Father, head constable Jairam Bhosale, got killed on duty while controlling a violent mob during Ganesh festival procession. Jairam's death was a huge loss for his beloved daughter Avani. She was his princess, but now the princess was left alone to take care of herself and her family. She has to put aside her grief and join the police training soon after her father's death. She has to step up to take care of her family which consists of Mother Savita and elder brother Chaitya. Later, the entire family shifts to Mumbai, as Avani's first posting is in Mumbai. The family is now settling down in this huge metro city. But this monumental shift is not very easy for Avani. New city coupled with new responsibilities as the head of the family and her new job, which doesn't really suit her kind and emotional temperament- all this is keeping her busy and boggling. Like many small-town girls who move to big cities for the sake of jobs, will Avani be able to mold herself according to this city life? Will she be comfortable with this new and tough job of hers? Will this new workplace be the second home to her, like the most working women? And finally, will Avani be able to make a mark in Mumbai as a police professional.
