Born in Hong Kong, Tsang Sze-Man, or Angie Tsang, was a martial artist who began learning lion dancing at the age of eight. Shortly after, she began to train in wushu and became a national competitor. At the age of 13, she was hired by director Yuen Woo-Ping to play legendary Chinese folk hero Wong Fei-Hung in the film Iron Monkey opposite Donnie Yen (who played her father Wong Kai-Ying) and Yu Rong-Guang (who played the titular character).

She continued to compete in wushu tournaments, where she earned a Gold Medal at the Silver medal at the Doha competition in 2006.
