Michael Farris Smith is an award-winning novelist and screenwriter. His novels have appeared as Best of the Year selections with Esquire, NPR, Oprah Magazine, Southern Living, Book Riot, and numerous other outlets. He has written the feature film adaptations of his novels Desperation Road and The Fighter, titled for the screen as Rumble Through the Dark. He lives in Oxford, Mississippi.
