Scott Ramon Seguro Mescudi, known professionally as Kid Cudi, is an American rapper, singer, songwriter, record producer, actor, and fashion designer. Born and raised in Cleveland, he moved to New York City to pursue a music career. After gaining attention with self-published music on MySpace, he teamed up with producers Plain Pat and Emile Haynie to release his first mixtape, A Kid Named Cudi (2008).

In addition to his music career, Cudi has established his own record labels, including Dream On (now defunct) and Wicked Awesome Records (since 2011). He expanded into acting with the HBO series How to Make It in America (2010), and in 2020, he launched the production company Mad Solar. He also started his clothing line in 2022.
