Uraoka Keiichi

Description:

Uraoka Keiichi was a Japanese film editor. He joined Shochiku in 1948 and apprenticed under Hamamura Yoshiyasu.

He left Shochiku in 1969 and subsequently worked as a freelance editor.

He played a significant role in establishing the Japan Film Editors' Association and served as its first chairman. Uraoka also dedicated himself to mentoring numerous aspiring editors at Japanese film schools.
