Haifei was born in Zhuji County, Shaoxing City, Zhejiang Province in 1971. He is a writer and screenwriter in mainland China. In 2004, won the first prize in "Shanghai Literature", a national short story contest, for his short story "Flashing Huqin". In 2006, he joined the Chinese Writers Association.
