Zhao Dong Ling is a Chinese writer and screenwriter born in Rushan City, Shandong Province, China.
In 1969, she was assigned to an administrative unit and began to write novels in her spare time. In 1987, she was seconded to the newly established Shandong Film and Television Production Center.
In 1997, she won the Outstanding Screenwriter Award.
