Horai Ryuta is a Japanese Screenwriter born in Kobe, Hyogo.
In 1999, he participated in the launch of the theater company Modern Swimmers. Since then, he has worked and directed all its performances. Outside of his theater company, he is busy screenwriting for anime, movies, and TV dramas.
On April 12, 2022 it was confirmed that he's in a relationship with actress Ito Sairi who is 18 years his junior.
On January 4, 2025 Ito announced that they have registered their marriage.
