After his graduation in 2009, "Kai" Nottapon Boonprakob started his career in filmmaking as director, scriptwriter, and cinematographer. In 2015, he decided to pursue his master's degree in Social Documentary Film at School of Visual Arts, New York. He is the younger brother of Moo Chayanop Boonprakob, a fellow director and screenwriter under GDH 559.
In 2019, Kai is selected to be a fellowship of the American Film Showcase Workshop at USC School of Cinematic Arts. His first feature documentary "2,215" won several major film awards in Thailand.
