Ochiai Masayuki is a Japanese director and screenwriter from Tokyo. He graduated from Nihon University College of Art (日本大学芸術学部) and began his career with Kyodo Television (共同テレビジョン) before becoming a freelancer in 2003. In 2012, after a nine-year hiatus, he returned to Kyodo Television.
Ochiai has been married twice. His first wife was Terada Rieko (寺田理恵子), a news announcer for Fuji TV, and his second wife was writer Umeda Mika (梅田みか). He has a daughter, Yurie, from his first marriage, who is a singer in the group Yukarie.
