He was born in Tokyo. While studying at Gakushuin University, Nishida performed in a comedy unit which was later disbanded. He made his directing debut with the web movie ”Kikikomi”. He was also in charge of the composition of NHK's educational program ”Shakiin!”. Since then, he has been working as a scenario writer and director for movies, drama series, etc.
