Miki Takahiro is a Japanese director and screenwriter, born in Tokushima. During his university years, Takahiro won Grand Prix at Waseda Indie Film Festival with his indie film Aozora. After graduation, he began directing various music videos / short films / commercial videos and won the Best Video of the Year at MTV Video Music Awards Japan 2005. He made his directorial debut for the feature film with Solanin (2010). His other notable films include We Were There: First Love / True Love (2012), Blue Spring Ride (2014), My Tomorrow, Your Yesterday (2016), and My Teacher (2017).
