Kaneshige Atsushi is a Japanese film director born in Maebashi City, Gunma Prefecture. He started working as an assistant film director after graduating from Japan Institute of the Moving Image. He debuted as a film director in 2007 with "Chii-chan wa Yukyu no Muko".
