Osamu Katayama is a TV drama director and film director from Yamaguchi Prefecture.
He joined Izumi broadcast production in 1986. After joining the company, he was in charge of drama production. After that, he moved to TV Asahi around 2007 where he works now.
Actress Kitagawa Keiko calls him "Shu-chan".
