Shimizu Takashi is a Japanese film director from Maebashi, Gunma, Japan. Since 2018, he has been affiliated with Booster Project Co., Ltd.
He attended Wakamiya Elementary School and Maebashi City Fourth Junior High School before graduating from Gunma Prefectural Chuo High School. He enrolled in the Faculty of Literature and Arts at Kinki University but dropped out. During his university years, he studied under the screenwriter Ishido Shuko.
After graduating, he was given the opportunity to direct a short film for Kansai TV's horror omnibus "Gakkou no Kaidan G".
In 2001, he made his directorial debut with "Tomie: Re-birth."
