Aino Maria Marsio-Aalto was a Finnish architect and pioneer of Scandinavian design. She was the design partner of architect Alvar Aalto for 25 years and co-founder of the design company Artek. Aino Aalto worked on textiles, lamps, glassware, and buildings as Artek's first artistic director. Her work is part of the Museum of Modern Art's permanent collection in New York and has been featured in numerous exhibitions worldwide, including alongside Pablo Picasso.
