Description:
(American Architectural and Urban Critic, Designer, and Educator) Michael David Sorkin was a renowned American architectural and urban critic, designer, and educator celebrated for his thought-provoking analysis of modern culture and urban planning. He rose to prominence as a critic for the Village Voice in New York City and later pursued a career in teaching at prestigious universities globally. Sorkin also established his own design firm, created a nonprofit publishing house, and headed the urban design program at the City College of New York. Tragically, his valuable contributions to the field were prematurely halted by his passing during the COVID-19 pandemic.
