Soon-Yi Previn

Description: (Wife of Filmmaker Woody Allen)

Soon-Yi Previn is an American actor who is best known as the third wife of American filmmaker Woody Allen. However, her relationship with Woody has invited quite a lot of criticism, as she also happens to be an adopted daughter of Mia Farrow, one of Woody’s former girlfriends. Woody and Previn started their intimate relationship in the early 1990s and ended up getting married in 1997. Previn was born to a prostitute in South Korea and was abandoned as a kid. She was found roaming around the streets of Seoul and eating out of the trash cans, before being officially adopted by Mia in 1978. She arrived in the US and started leading a better life with Mia and her then-husband, musician André Previn. She finished her education from ‘Columbia University’ and played small roles in films such as ‘Scenes from a Mall’ and ‘Wild Man Blues.’ Upon breaking up with André, Mia began dating famous American filmmaker Woody Allen. Their relationship began in 1979 and ended in 1992, when he started a relationship with Previn. This is one of the most talked-about and controversial relationships in the history of Hollywood, with both Woody and Previn receiving quite a lot of flak.
