Andrée Raymonde Borrel, known by the code name Denise, was a brave French agent who worked for Britain's Special Operations Executive (SOE) during World War II. She was the first female SOE agent to parachute into France and was a key member of the Prosper network, the largest SOE network in the country. Borrel operated as a courier in Paris, where she organized espionage, sabotage, and reconnaissance missions against the Axis powers. Despite facing great risks, she showed remarkable leadership skills until her capture and execution by the Gestapo in 1944.
