Arnold Henry Moore Lunn, a prominent skier, mountaineer, and writer, was recognized for his significant contributions to British skiing and Anglo-Swiss relations. Knighted in 1952 for his services to British Skiing, Lunn initially held an agnostic worldview and was critical of Catholicism before converting to the religion at the age of 45. Throughout his professional life, he was renowned for his writings on skiing, mountaineering, and his role as an apologist for the Catholic faith. Lunn's career led him from Madras, India to London, where he passed away at the age of 86.
