Aleksander Doba, a renowned Polish kayaker, gained global fame for his exceptional ocean-crossing expeditions. He set records for the longest solo kayak journeys in history with his unprecedented voyages across the Atlantic Ocean in 2010 and 2013. Doba was honored as the 2015 Adventurer of the Year by National Geographic for his remarkable achievements. In 2017, he completed another challenging eastward kayaking trip across the Atlantic, further solidifying his legacy. Unfortunately, he passed away while climbing Kilimanjaro after successfully reaching the mountain summit.
