Description:
(Indian Mount Everest Climber) Green Boots, an unidentified climber on Mount Everest, became a well-known landmark on the main Northeast ridge route of the mountain. Speculated to be Tsewang Paljor, a member of the Indo-Tibetan Border Police expedition who perished in the 1996 climbing disaster, Green Boots was commonly seen at 8,500 m wearing distinctive green Koflach mountaineering boots. Many expeditions came across the body until it was finally relocated in 2014, presumably by the China Tibet Mountaineering Association.
