Alan Trammell

Alan Trammell is a former professional baseball shortstop, manager, and coach who played his entire 20-year career in Major League Baseball with the Detroit Tigers. He achieved a World Series championship in 1984 and an American League East division championship in 1987. Trammell was renowned for his defensive prowess, earning four Gold Glove awards and forming a celebrated double-play tandem with Lou Whitaker. Additionally, he excelled at hitting, securing three Silver Slugger awards. Trammell later managed the Tigers and briefly served as the interim manager for the Arizona Diamondbacks before being inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 2018.
