João Havelange

João Havelange was a Brazilian lawyer, businessman, and athlete who served as the seventh president of FIFA from 1974 to 1998, making his tenure the second longest in the organization's history. He was also a member of the International Olympic Committee from 1963 to 2011, holding the title of the longest-serving active member upon his resignation. Havelange received the title of Honorary President upon leaving office but later resigned in 2013 amidst controversy involving bribery allegations related to World Cup marketing rights.
