Frank Arthur Worsley, a skilled New Zealand sailor and explorer, played a key role in Ernest Shackleton's Imperial Trans-Antarctic Expedition and served in the Royal Navy Reserve during WWI. His exceptional navigation skills were evident when he successfully led the crew to safety after the Endurance was wrecked in Antarctica. Worsley captained the lifeboat James Caird on a dangerous journey across the South Atlantic and sunk a German U-boat during WWI, earning prestigious military honors. Additionally, he led expeditions to the Arctic and authored books on polar exploration and sailing.
