Prince Hubertus of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha was a German courier pilot who served in the Luftwaffe during World War II, despite his personal opposition to Adolf Hitler and Nazism. He lost his British and Irish prince titles in World War I and became the heir apparent to the headship of his house in 1932. He tragically lost his life in action during the war.
