Description:
(Sculptor) Ernest Tino Trova was an American artist known for his surrealist and pop art creations, particularly his signature image and figure series, The Falling Man. He considered his artistic output to be a continual "work in progress" and incorporated classic American comic character toys into his pieces for their surreal qualities. Trova's sculptures, frequently cast in distinctive white bronze, reflected his transition from painting to sculpting. His donation of forty works played a key role in founding the Laumeier Sculpture Park in St. Louis County, Missouri.
